The Seattle Seahawks have an intriguing offensive playmaker in young wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Most people don't know about his brother, though. Canaan Smith-Njigba is actually also a professional athlete. He plays in the MLB.
Canaan is getting a chance with a new team, too. The Pittsburgh Pirates claimed him after his release from the Seattle Mariners.

He made his MLB debut in 2022 with the Pirates. He totaled 37 plate appearances for Pittsburgh in 2023, too. He has not played in a regular season game for another team. In his career, he is hitting .135 with five RBI.
JSN projects to be an important piece for Seattle going forward. It is unknown how much longer D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett will be with the Seahawks, but Smith-Njigba could be the WR they build their future around in a couple of years. Only time will tell.
Regardless, the Smith-Njigba family is quite impressive with both brothers playing professional sports.
