New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is the talk of the NFL after just three career starts. According to his teammate, the rookie has already picked up a different name thanks to his on-field heroics.
Dart's latest victory came on "Thursday Night Football" against the reigning Super Bowl champions and NFC East divisional rival Philadelphia Eagles. In a quarterback duel with his personal inspiration Jalen Hurts, Dart led New York to a resounding 34-17 win.
The Giants improved to 2-4 on the season, and both wins have come at home with Dart starting under center. The first-round draft pick out of Ole Miss threw for 195 yards and one touchdown, adding 58 yards and a TD on the ground.
Dart's success with his arm and legs led Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson to bestow him with a nickname that paid tribute to iconic dual-threat quarterback Michael Vick.
"One run I called him 'Vanilla Vick,' I forgot what he was doing," Robinson said after the game. "He was running around and just bobbing and weaving everybody."

It was unclear exactly which play Robinson was referring to — there were plenty of examples during the game — Dart did use his legs to extend the play when he connected with Robinson for a 19-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
"He keeps every play alive and no play is dead with him back there," Robinson said.

During the impressive win, Dart made history as the third quarterback in the Super Bowl era to rush for at least 50 yards in each of his first three NFL starts, joining Lamar Jackson and Hurts.
While "Vanilla Vick" was a new nickname for Dart, many fans pointed out that the moniker had been recycled from other shifty quarterbacks in the past, including former Giants QB Daniel Jones.
