The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to draft LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft ... unless, of course, they decided to trade that pick for whatever reason.
Burrow is, without a doubt, the best quarterback in the 2020 draft, and former Dolphins quarterback Jay Fielder would like to see Miami move up in the draft to land the LSU product.
"I'm very high on Burrow. I think if the Dolphins have a chance to even move up in the draft and get him, I think he would be the number-one choice for me," Fielder said according to Yahoo Sports. "Tua, obviously, had great success playing but there's certainly a lot of question marks with him, with the durability. To invest in a franchise guy with those question marks is a tough decision to make.
"Beyond those two guys, again it's a crap shoot for the next level down."
There's been no clarity on where Oregon QB Justin Herbert and Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa will be selected. They've been said to go as high as fifth overall to as low as the 20s.
Of course, the biggest problem surrounding Tagovailoa is his injury history, so the Dolphins would be taking a big risk if they selected him at fifth overall.
If the Dolphins could somehow land Burrow, they might actually put together a decently competitive offense in 2020. They've already got Jordan Howard, Mike Gesicki, DaVante Parker and Allen Hurns in the fold with the possibility to add some serious talent on the offensive side of the ball at the draft.
