Jayden Daniels' Commanders Own One 'Significant Advantage' In Super Bowl Chase

One year. That's all it took for Dan Quinn and Jayden Daniels to change the trajectory of the Washington Commanders. Yes, Adam Peters and owner Josh Harris played their roles too, but Quinn and Daniels brought it to life.

A 12-5 record and an NFC Championship appearance is a superb first act, but the problem with that is it is a tough one to follow up.

But Peters has done his best to make sure the Commanders get a decent shot at replicating last year's efforts, trading for Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil.

The vibe is now different in the nation's capital, and for good reason, with Daniels showing to be every bit the franchise star the organization wanted him to be.

And because of that, Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer thinks the franchise's future is in good hands.

"The Commanders may not win 12 games or go to the NFC title game, as they did last season," Breer said. "However, the team-building efforts of Dan Quinn and Adam Peters, who have brought in players such as Marshon Lattimore, Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil at premium positions, has been impressive.
