One of the main reasons the Washington Commanders made it to the NFC Championship Game in Year 1 under Dan Quinn is the culture that was built from Day 1.
The guys in the locker room are closer than most NFL rosters and it shows on the field. It was recently on display off the field, as well, in the form of a hilarious prank pulled by cornerback Mike Sainristil.
There's a current trend on TikTok where guys call their guy friends in order to wish them good night. The joke is simple: guys simply don't do that and it would honestly be a little weird to get a call like that. No matter how thoughtful and considerate the gesture may be.
Sainristil called star quarterback Jayden Daniels, safety and special teams ace Jeremy Reaves, and college teammate Sam Hartman and it was Daniels' reaction that was easily the best of the bunch, as you can see below:

The initial response and then the I just talked to you five minutes ago and the you're acting real bonkers right now lines easily take the cake. Daniels knew something funny was up, but had no clue. Jokingly but also seriously, it makes complete sense for him to be unaware of the trend, as he's probably been locked away in film labs and workout sessions all offseason because that's just how the dude operates.
And a side note: Sainristil's contact photo for Daniels is something else.
Reaves' reaction to everything on X is pretty good, too:
9pm I'm about sleep. You call me at that time, something better be wrong. He play too much https://t.co/q9D4d1o5tj

It's awesome to see these guys having fun during the offseason as they work to build on an incredible 2024 season. This is the kind of bond that championship teams often possess and it can easily help the Commanders take the next step in 2025.
