Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels’ incredible rookie season came to an end on Sunday with a 55-23 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game.
Daniels made history in his first year, leading Washington to its first playoff win since Jan 7, 2006, and its first NFC Championship appearance since Jan. 12, 1992.
Along the way, he earned 11 Rookie of the Week awards, was named Offensive Rookie of the Month for September, won PFWA Rookie of the Year, picked up NFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 3, and capped it all off with a Pro Bowl selection.
Daniels had hoped to miss the 2025 Pro Bowl Games to prepare for the Super Bowl, but with Washington’s season coming to an end, he’ll head to Orlando instead. The Pro Bowl Games aren't a bad way to close out his time as a rookie, especially after Monday’s NFL announcement.
After an injury, the league revealed that Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown had been replaced on the NFC's Pro Bowl roster by Daniels’ former college teammate, current New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers.
In Nabers' rookie season, he recorded 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns.

Daniels and Nabers played together for two seasons at LSU from 2022-23, forming one of the most explosive offenses in college football, alongside another rookie Pro Bowler, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr.
In 2023, Daniels took home the Heisman Trophy, awarded to the most outstanding player in college football, while leading an offense that ranked No. 1 in the nation in both yards per game (543.5) and points per game (45.5).
Out of Daniels’ 3,812 passing yards that season, Nabers caught 1,569 of them.
Now, the duo will continue their connection in the Thursday Skills Competition (Jan. 30) and Sunday Pro Bowl Championship flag football game (Feb. 2).
The game on Sunday will be held from 3 p.m. ET to 6 p.m. ET at Camping World Stadium.
