Miami Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle’s infamous penguin-inspired touchdown celebration “the Waddle” is quickly sweeping the globe.
First, the celebration was immortalized in the most recent 'Madden 23' update — added as a new feature when the second-year wideout scores a touchdown — and now the move’s popularity has spread beyond the borders of the United States.
Waddle has been doing the touchdown dance since last season, but prior to Sunday’s 30-15 win over the Houston Texans, one fan tweeted a video of himself paying homage to the 24-year-old receiver by doing “the Waddle” in front of a group of penguins in Antarctica.

The viral video wasn't the only nod to Waddle's TD celebration on Sunday. A group of Dolphins fans dressed in full penguin garb attended the game against the Texans at Hard Rock Stadium. Though they didn’t get to strut their stuff as Waddle was held scoreless, the Dolphins Twitter account at least gave them a tip of the cap.
