By now, everyone knows the Chicago Bears got the last laugh against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6 after coming back from their trip to London with a huge win.
However, the results from Sunday's game gets even better after hearing what one of the Bears' top defensive players shared on Tuesday.
While appearing on the "Up & Adams Show" with Kay Adams, Bears star cornerback Jaylon Johnson mentioned that Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence attempted to trash talk Johnson during the game, and it immediately backfired.
"Earlier in the game, Trevor had said something... We were just talking trash and he was like 'You're not even that good on the pass,' and I'm like okay throw it, you talking a little too crazy," Johnson explained. "And then he threw it and I'm like now I gotta make a play on this one, I'll be damned if he talked about my pass coverage and he gets a touchdown on me. Just honestly making plays and going out there having fun."

Johnson is the last person Lawrence should be saying something like that against during a game, and Johnson made him pay for it.
Johnson was targeted just twice by Lawrence during the game and only allowed one reception for five yards. The other target was a deep ball to wide receiver Gabe Davis that Davis was unable to hold onto with Johnson in tight coverage near the end zone.
The Bears top cornerback has proven time and time again that he's not the player you want to mess with if you're an opposing quarterback. Through six games, Johnson's 31.1 passer rating allowed is the best among all cornerbacks with 100+ coverage snaps and he's yet to allow a touchdown as the primary defender.

Lawrence still managed to finish the game with 234 passing yards and two touchdowns on 35 pass attempts against a depleted secondary but was forced to play from behind for the majority of the game. While he still found a little bit of success, it wasn't against Johnson in coverage.
You can't fault someone for wanting to try and get into someone's head during a game, but Johnson is the last person you want to start chirping at because he will eventually make you pay for it.
