Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith was fired up after breaking up a pass cleanly in Sunday’s game against the Giants, in his eyes — but the problem was that he failed to do so.
Smith came flying in to try to disrupt a pass intended for Giants tight end Evan Engram, but he got there early, making contact with his counterpart. He celebrated as if there wasn’t, though, flexing and celebrating with his teammates.
The joke was on him, though, as he was flagged for pass interference — giving the Giants a first down.
