JC Latham to wear new jersey number with Tennessee Titans in 2024
USA TODAY Sports

For three seasons and 27 starts at the University of Alabama, star right tackle JC Latham wore No. 65 on the back of his jersey.

But after being selected by the Tennessee Titans with the seventh overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Latham is making a change from right tackle to left tackle and changing his jersey number in the process.

Latham is going to wear No. 55 in two-tone blue with the Titans, even though his previous jersey number is not occupied. That's the number he wore back in high school at IMG Academy.

In fact, in the Titans era, no player ever has worn No. 65. The last player to wear 65 with the franchise was defensive end Elvin Bethea for the Houston Oilers in 1983.

55 was last worn by C Aaron Brewer in 2023. Brewer departed as a free agent this offseason and signed a three year, $21 million contract with the Miami Dolphins.

Other 55's in Tennessee Titans history

Jayon Brown, linebacker (2017-2021)
Zach Brown, linebacker (2012-2015)
Stephen Tulloch, linebacker (2006-2010)
Brad Kassell, linebacker (2002-2005)
Eddie Robinson, linebacker (1998-2001)
