Jeremiah Smith Reacts as Brother Receives Offer From Ohio State
USA TODAY Sports

Similar to the inauguration of the four-team College Football Playoff, the Ohio State Buckeyes were crowned champions of this past year's 12-team College Football Playoff.

While the team had 14 players drafted into the NFL in April, they heavily relied on true freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith to carry the load offensively.

The former No. 1 overall recruit out of Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School in Hollywood, Florida, racked up 76 catches for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns. Due to his strong freshman campaign, he was named a first-team All-American, Big Ten Freshman of the Year and first-team All-Big Ten.

Teams around the country are presumably dreading his final two years of college, as there's a high probability he is far from a finished product, but they may soon need to dread the presence of his younger brother, Angel Smith.

The three-star safety in the 2027 class is also a standout at Chaminade-Madonna and on Tuesday shared that he received an offer from Ohio State.

His older brother was quite pleased with the development and shared the news on his Instagram story.

Aside from Ohio State, the younger Smith has received offers from Miami, Toledo, Akron, Georgia State and Oklahoma State.

This past season, for a Chaminade-Madonna program that went 13-2 and won a fourth consecutive state title, Smith racked up 40 total tackles and also grabbed three interceptions.

As it stands right now, the Buckeyes hold one commitment in the 2027 class in Jamier Brown, who ranks as the No. 1 athlete in the country.

If they can land Smith's younger brother, and he turns into half the player his older brother is, the Buckeyes may have a few more title-contending rosters in their future.
