The Arizona Cardinals turned heads with their jaw-dropping Jeremiyah Love selection in the NFL Draft. Love landing at No. 3 overall drew a B- grade after the draft. Yet one Cardinals star dropped some NSFW praise for the past Notre Dame star running back.

Tight end Trey McBride used a fiery description to describe Love during his appearance on “Bussin’ With the Boys.”

“That dude’s a f—— stud,” McBride told former NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan. “He’s a stud, man. Just the few practices that we had together, his route running and his ability to f—— making plays is pretty cool.”

McBride raved about the presence of Love. This despite the negative scrutiny behind the pick.

“I’m excited to have him on our side for sure,” the tight end said.

McBride clearly will welcome blocking for Love this season. The veteran is renown across the league for his grit and physicality once the ball snaps. But Arizona ranked next-to-last in rushing during 2025, with no one surpassing 334 yards last season.

Still, new head coach Mike LaFleur and general manager Monti Ossenfort bewildered analysts and fans for taking Love that high. Most believed the franchise would look into a quarterback more, with Ty Simpson of Alabama rising as one of the best available at that spot.

Except Arizona rolled with the Heisman Trophy finalist out of South Bend, ignoring signal caller help on day one of the draft. But McBride has taken a liking to what he’s seen before training camp begins.
