Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love is facing a lost rookie season after yet another ankle injury.
The Cardinals will place Love on injured reserve due to a high-ankle sprain, according to multiple reports. The move comes after Love suffered another injury during Sunday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys.
It was quickly noted that Love has now endured three separate ankle injuries this season, prompting questions about his long-term durability.

Love first dealt with an ankle injury in the preseason, then a second one to his other ankle earlier in the year. The Cardinals have said this third injury is to a different part of the ankle than either of the first two injuries were.
The No. 3 overall pick out of Notre Dame, Love has 76 carries for 268 rushing yards and a touchdown on the season. The Cardinals drew criticism for how much of a workload they gave him during preseason. One has to wonder if they are regretting that now.
