Jerry Jones has a train to catch before the trade deadline today at 4 p.m. EST.
"I'm standing by the track, and when the train comes by, I'm ready to hit that caboose and not let it get by me," Jones said Tuesday on KRLD-FM.

Perhaps he's implying the Cowboys are considering making a move before the deadline. Jones claims teams have been calling them and making offers.
"We have some things mildewing around," he said.
However, some believe he's just stirring the pot. Dallas Morning News Cowboys reporter Michael Gehlken said on his personal Twitter, "It's more likely than not the Cowboys hold pat today."
Summary: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on @1053thefan the team has some things it is “entertaining” and “coming our way,” he is more urgent than ever at age 80, and yet it’s more likely than not the Cowboys hold pat today. Six hours and counting until trade deadline (3 p.m. CT).

If Jones is bluffing, which is likely, that would be frustrating for the fanbase. Dallas is 6-2 and feels like it's one piece away from launching to the top of the NFC.
They're multiple players on the trading block who could turn Dallas into a legitimate championship contender, including former Pro Bowlers Bradley Chubb and D.J. Moore.
Their rival, the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles, already made a move, trading for second-team All-Pro Robert Quinn. Thanks to this trade, they're an overwhelming NFC favorite, per Oddschecker.
Jones and the Cowboys want to be the conference's unstoppable express, not the Eagles' caboose, so they should make a trade before they leave the station.
