The Dallas Cowboys carried their momentum from Week 4 into Sunday’s matchup against the New York Jets, cruising to a 37-22 victory to improve to 2-2-1 on the season, while New York remains the only winless team in the NFL at 0-5.
In attendance at MetLife Stadium was Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who made headlines moments after the win for a joking—but explicit—hand gesture directed at a Jets fan seated just below him in a suite.
A video that quickly went viral on social media showed Jones waving to the crowd, then pointing at a Jets fan and giving the middle finger, before breaking into a smile.

Fans had a strong reaction to the moment involving the 82-year-old owner.
"First time he's done something I like for a while lol," a fan said.
Someone else added, "Wow that is so rude and not good sportsmanship."
Another person wrote, "I’m no Jerry Jones or Cowboys fan but this is funny. You can tell it was all in fun."
"Funny as [explicit] but if they did it to him I’m sure it would be a problem in the media. But I salute him for doing it. Ur allowed to talk [explicit] as long as it’s in fun even tho they beat the jets. Lol," a fan shared.
"He wasn't gonna let Jets fans disrespect him. Who are they?" One more fan commented.
The Cowboys will have another prime opportunity for a road win next week when they travel to Carolina to face the 1-4 Panthers, who secured their first victory of the season on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
Dallas has been getting standout production from star quarterback Dak Prescott, who has had to lead the offense the past two weeks without star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who continues to rehab an ankle injury.
Despite that, Prescott is playing at an MVP-caliber level. Against the Jets, he completed 18 of 29 passes for 237 yards, four touchdowns, and added 28 rushing yards, bringing his season total to 10 touchdown passes.
