Jerry Jones Makes Dak Prescott’s MVP Case After Cowboys’ Dominant Win Over Commanders

Jerry Jones worked hard this offseason, intending to fix his mistakes from the previous campaign. He managed to help build a stellar offensive unit for Dak Prescott to exploit.

That goal did become a reality as the quarterback entrenched himself in MVP conversations after stellar performances in the past few games. They did lose games, but most of it was due to the defense’s fault.

Otherwise, the addition of George Pickens was a boon, and the highest-paid player in the league took full advantage of that. Even when he was without some of his starting offensive linemen and CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott was willing his Cowboys to wins.

That offense came to the fore again against the Washington Commanders at home. Even though they knew that they were going up against former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn‘s defense, the 32-year-old engineered scoring drives in every quarter.

Three touchdowns came from his passes as he kept the ball away from danger, helping his teammates get the most out of their snaps. No wonder Jerry Jones was all about the MVP award for his QB.

He is mine, and he should be of Cowboys fans. He gives us a tremendous opportunity. This team is really following him.

Jerry Jones said, as captured by 103.5 The Fan

The billionaire believes Dak Prescott has worked on areas of improvement over the summer, and it is reflecting in the way he plays. Therefore, he believes his QB should be the MVP.

Dak Prescott reiterates his confidence in the Cowboys

A few weeks ago, Dak Prescott sent the sports world into a frenzy when he claimed that he has the most confidence he has ever had in this year’s Dallas Cowboys roster.

Many felt he was delusional, and that he did not understand what it takes to win. When speaking with Tom Brady after the game, the FOX Sports commentator asked him about that comment.

Just the work that I put into this, going back personally to the offseason… When we play to what we’re capable of doing, we’re going to be a very, very tough team to beat.

Dak Prescott replied

The Cowboys QB reiterated that with the likes of offseason acquisition George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb stretching the field, it will be difficult for opposing teams to stop them.

Jerry Jones not bothered by George Pickens’ agent amidst contract extension conversations

As George Pickens continues to flourish with the Dallas Cowboys, there are growing calls for him to get a contract extension. However, the star wideout shares his agent with Micah Parsons .

Knowing how the alleged interference during the pass rusher’s contract talks irked Jerry Jones enough to trade him away, the 83-year-old was asked if the agent’s presence would scupper Pickens’ contract negotiations.

Don’t pay any attention to that at all. Too much was made of that… I was gonna be where I was with Micah, relative to dollars and sense, I don’t care who represented him.

Jerry Jones told Jon Machota

The owner-cum general manager believes there was too much noise surrounding David Mulugheta ‘s involvement in Parsons’ deal. Jerry Jones believes he would have given his former player what he deserved, whether his agent had any influence or not.

This means there is a chance that George Pickens would be suitably rewarded if he keeps his mind in check and will continue delivering for his new team every week.
