It seems that Logan Ryan may be headed back to the AFC East, but not to his former team in New England.
The New York Jets reportedly are expected to sign the cornerback to a one-year deal, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.

While nothing is official yet, this will be a terrific signing for the Jets' secondary. Of course New Yorkers should be fairly familiar with Ryan after he spent four seasons with the Patriots before signing with the Tennessee Titans.
Of course it's a red flag that the Titans didn't seem very interested in re-signing Ryan, but it'll be low risk for the Jets to sign him on a one-year deal.
The 29-year-old recorded four interceptions, four forced fumbles, 4.5 sacks and 73 solo tackles in 2019 while also recording four tackles for a loss and eight quarterback hits.
The Jets don't have a strong situation at cornerback, but signing Ryan and Pierre Desir, trading for Quincy Wilson and retaining Brian Poole will help them out during the short term as they continue to search for a long term solution.
With the AFC East up for grabs for the first time since 2002, the Miami Dolphins also are reportedly in the mix for Ryan's services. Miami may be a more desirable location for the two-time Super Bowl champion as there's the opportunity to reunite with former Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores.
Whatever happens, it seems like Ryan is headed back to the AFC East.
