Jets' Garrett Wilson Gets 'Hall Of Fame' Praise From Tyrod Taylor

New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor has gotten a front row seat to the Garrett Wilson show over the past 12 or so months, and now, entering his second offseason with Gang Green, Tyrod is seeing improvement.

With Wilson seen as a top receiver in the league, and Taylor getting the chance to work with him last offseason, and now under Aaron Glenn, things are moving in the right direction.

Given that Taylor is a well-travelled veteran in the NFL in his 14-year career, he has seen his fair share of receivers, but when it comes to where Wilson ranks on his list?

Yeah, it's pretty high.

“G5 is up there,” Taylor said. “Top two. Yeah, top two I would say. What he can do with the ball in his hands is special. His body control, the way he tracks the ball is special. Just as far as his potential, I think we've only seen just a small clip of what he can do. Must continue to keep playing within this system and growing within himself in this league.

"He's one of the talented receivers across the board, if not the best in my opinion from what he can do. So, looking forward to him having a great year and to him having a Hall of Fame-type career.”

For all of Wilson's talent and skill, the receiver has yet to have a true breakout year.

Yes, he's surpassed 1,000 yards in every year, but it's been only just, with 1,104 yards last year being his career high, along with seven touchdowns.

So, fans are awaiting that truly dominant season from Garrett, and yes, the quarterback situation hasn't been the best with constant change, but with Justin Fields now under center, who knows, maybe it will be his former college teammate who will get the best out of him.

Regardless, Wilson is still a top liner in the eyes of Tyrod.
