Jets' Josh Reynolds Impresses With Team-First Attitude At OTAs
Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK

One player who will be tasked with helping New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields win football games in 2025 is receiver Josh Reynolds.

The former Detroit Lion has ties with current Jets head coach, Aaron Glenn, with the veteran now part of an offense that, for most, is a little so-so when compared to the rest of the league.

Reynolds joins a receiver room with Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, Tyler Johnson, Malachi Corley, and Arian Smith, with Josh seen as one of the leaders of the unit.

But he isn't coming to the Big Apple to puff out his chest and to take all the limelight, he's simple here to do his job.

Which is whatever is asked of him by the coaching staff.

"I'm here for whatever they need me for," Reynolds said via the Jets' official website. "If it's [wide receiver] two, if it's [WR] three, I'm here to help the team win. Time will tell. We still got to go through camp and all that. Guys will emerge and some guys will fall, that's just the nature of the business. I'm here to help the team win."

That is the sort of selfless attitude that Glenn is looking for in his locker room as he looks to build the kind of culture that fans can be proud of.

Granted, there will be skeptics of what exactly Reynolds, who had 194 yards from 13 receptions and a touchdown for both the Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars last season due to various issues, can bring to the table.

However, he is deployed by coordinator Tanner Engstrand, Reynolds is ready to do his bit for the team. In what many believe will be a challenging season for the Jets as they undergo a transitional year under Glenn, having veterans to lean on in tough times will be crucial to the group's development.

And in Reynolds, the Jets have a selfless receiver who isn't worried about his stats; he's worried about one thing and one thing only - how to help his team win.
