Over four years since their last time sharing the field together, Justin Fields and Garrett Wilson will line up on the same side again this coming season. Once teammates at Ohio State, they have crossed paths for a second time in their football journeys after Fields signed with Wilson's Jets this offseason.
The two are both young in their careers but all eyes are on Fields to prove himself in 2025. Fields started his career with the Chicago Bears before the team traded him to Pittsburgh last offseason.
He played second fiddle to Russell Wilson last season and now gets an opportunity to right the narrative on his career. As for Garrett, he has experienced more individual excellence at the cost of woeful team circumstances.
Zach Wilson and an aged Aaron Rodgers have thrown him the ball for the majority of his career. That has not stopped him from amassing 1,000 yards each of his first three seasons.
Now, the former Buckeyes will be the two primarily responsible for revitalizing the Jets' passing offense. Fields and Wilson are back on the field working out together, hoping to rekindle their college days connection.

There is certainly some excitement with the two being back together, but the Jets have their work cut out for 2025. New York finished with a bottom 10 offense last season, so that improvement will be needed across the board.
This time, Wilson will not be dealing with the circus of drama following Aaron Rodgers and Fields will not be in the shadow of a veteran ready to pounce on his spot if he has a bad showing.
Regardless, Jets fans will be anxious to see some results early from their new dynamic duo.
