The New York Jets enter October with their backs already against the wall.

New York fell to 0-4 following Monday night's 27-21 loss to the Miami Dolphins. The Jets got called for 13 penalties and lost three turnovers in another sloppy performance to start Aaron Glenn's head coaching tenure.

After the game, Garrett Wilson expressed urgency to get on track when the Jets host the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5.

"This past week was a 'got to have it,' and the fact that we just played how we did, now this becomes an ‘absolutely got to have it,'" Wilson said. "Got to get on the board. It's a home game. Protect our field."

The Jets join the Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints as the only NFL teams without a win. They've lost an NFL-high six fumbles and are the only team yet to force a takeaway, giving them the league's worst turnover margin (-7).

Wilson has already endured three losing seasons playing for a Jets franchise that hasn't made the playoffs since 2010. The former first-round pick continued to do his part, tallying 82 yards and his third touchdown of the season in Monday's loss.

"What do you want your legacy to be in this league? I look back on my time, and man, we’ve got to go now," Wilson said. "There's no time, you know? We've got to have it this week, and I'll make sure to relay that. And they know that, but I'll make sure to relay that to the team because I'm sure they all feel the same."

Other Jets stars voiced their displeasure after Monday night's loss. Running back Breece Hall had a harsh assessment of the team's self-inflicted wounds.

"It's just a tale of three out of our four losses," Hall said. "Teams will shoot themselves in the foot, and we come back and shoot ourselves in the head."

Sauce Gardner theorized that he's subjected to unfavorable officiating because the Jets aren't winning. The star cornerback called their 0-4 start "extremely shocking."

"We just have to lock in as a team," Gardner said, via Jets.com's Jack Bell. "I keep saying it, I don't want to lose. This is about the craziest I have ever felt about losing."

The Jets will play the Cowboys this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
