Jets WR Jamison Crowder out for 49ers game with hamstring injury

New York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder will miss Sunday's home opener versus the San Francisco 49ers due to a hamstring injury.

Gang Green will also be without running back Le'Veon Bell, who will sit for at least the next three games after a hamstring problem sent him to the injured reserve list earlier this week.

Coach Adam Gase told reporters on Friday the club currently isn't considering placing Crowder on IR, per Rich Cimini of ESPN. The 27-year-old wideout tallied seven catches for 115 yards in New York's Week 1 loss to division foes the Buffalo Bills. He took a short pass from quarterback Sam Darnold 69 yards to the house in the third quarter of that contest.

Crowder suffered the setback on Wednesday and hasn't practiced since. His absence will leave Darnold with Breshad Perriman, Braxton Berrios, Chris Hogan and tight end Chris Herndon as first-choice targets in his passing attack.
