Joe Burrow Among League Leaders in Production Lost to Receiver Drops
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (9) sits on the bench between drives in the fourth quarter of the NFL Week 8 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Philadelphia Eagles at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024.  Joe Burrow's career-best season could've been even better. Steven Patton broke down passing EPA lost to receiver drops this season on X and Burrow was hurt the third-most by slippery hands.

His receivers dropped the most passes of any quarterback on the list (32), beating Aaron Rodgers' pass catchers by two drops.

Now, the Bengals threw the ball more than any other NFL team by 68 attempts, so it's not like there was a massive discrepancy compared to the rest of the league on a per-pass basis, but it's just another example of how accurate Burrow was in his best season. He continues to hold the NFL career-record for completion rate (68.6%).
