Joe Burrow is disappointed in the point things have reached with Trey Hendrickson and Shemar Stewart. The two defensive ends have not reported to Cincinnati's training camp as they seek concessions from the Bengals in separate negotiations.
Burrow noted "the earlier you get these things done, the better" on Wednesday.
"Obviously disappointing," Burrow stated after practice. "You'd like to have all your guys out there Day 1 to try to build that cohesion that I was talking about earlier. But it's not how it usually works out. It's a business, and that is how it's gone."
Hendrickson is in Florida as of this writing, while Stewart's whereabouts are unknown midweek. Still, Al Golden and the Bengals defense carried on with the work led by Myles Murphy and Joseph Ossai at the edge spot.
"As you know, it can be frustrating, but it's the business of the NFL; that's how things go," Burrow noted. Check out more on the team's view from Zac Taylor here.
