Joey Bosa's best fit might be in the NFC East

The Dallas Cowboys have gone to great lengths to bolster their defense in the offseason.

However, even after spending most of their draft capital on that side of the field, they might still need some proven veterans.

Following the 2026 NFL Draft, they should turn back to free agency to make sure to add as much talent as possible.

Considering that, Zachary Pereles of CBS Sports argued that Joey Bosa would be a perfect fit for Brian Schottenheimer's team.

The Dallas Cowboys should sign Joey Bosa

"The Cowboys want to win right now, and Bosa could help. Currently, Dallas is depending on Rashan Gary, who really struggled last year, rookie Malachi Lawrence and second-year player Donovan Ezeiruaku, who had just two sacks as a rookie, as their primary pass rushers," Pereles wrote. "Bosa had five sacks, five forced fumbles and nine TFL last year in Buffalo."

Bosa isn't getting any younger (31 in July), and he's had some injury concerns throughout the course of his career.

Nevertheless, he's still one of the most productive pass rushers in the game when he's healthy, and he'd be a solid mentor for the Cowboys' myriad of youngsters.

Moreover, the Cowboys could use him as a rotational piece, making him more of a situational guy while they develop the youngsters.

Bosa's history of injuries may have taken a toll on his market value. The Cowboys have enough young options to make up for his absence, but all teams need veterans and mentors.

Moreover, the Cowboys had the worst defense in the league last season, and while that's not going to change overnight, adding Bosa can be a stepping stone in the right direction, knowing he'll do wonders for Ezeiruaku's and Lawrence's development.
