John Harbaugh speaks highly of a promising Ravens pass rusher
USA TODAY Sports

Odafe Oweh has upped his game ever since he returned to action from an ankle injury.

Oweh has added another dimension to Baltimore’s pass rush as of late. The third-year outside linebacker tallied 4.0 sacks in the Ravens’ last five games, and he also combined for 13 total tackles over these contests.

Oweh caused havoc in the backfield in Baltimore’s home win over the Cincinnati Bengals. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Oweh recorded a career-high seven pressures in the contest, with five of them coming in matchups against Bengals left tackle Orlando Brown Jr.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh continues to be left in awe of Oweh.

"He's playing great," Harbaugh said after the Ravens’ win over Cincinnati. "He has energy. He runs around [and] chases the screens down. I love Odafe Oweh. He's one of my favorite players, people. I just love how much he cares. We have a bunch of guys like that."

Oweh is pleased that it is all now coming together in his third season in Baltimore.

"It was tough, obviously, last year getting injured," Oweh said after the Ravens’ win over the Bengals. "I felt like I was hitting my stride, but I just thank God that I'm making plays [and] leaving a little on the table as well. There's just more to build on, and I'm just blessed to be where I'm at right now."

Oweh is well on pace to reach career highs in several stats this season, from sacks to quarterback hits. He has logged 4.0 sacks and 10 quarterback hits in seven games played this year.
