Jon Eric-Sullivan Names Dolphins player he’s Most Excited to See Improve in 2026

The Miami Dolphins’ brand-new general manager, Jon Eric-Sullivan — who was hired in January — is particularly excited about the growth tight end Greg Dulcich could show on the field in 2026.

Sullivan was asked in an interview with Kevin Clark of ESPN about which Dolphins player he’s most excited to see take that next step as a player, and he went with the 26-year-old.

“Dulcich,”he said. (h/t The Phinsider’s Josh Houtz). I thought he had a really good backend of the season. I want to see if he can build on that. That’s why we brought him back.“

On the heels of re-signing with the Dolphins on a one-year deal, Dulcich was a breakout player for Miami a season ago. He worked his way up from the practice squad to being a steady hand on the offensive side for the active roster across the latter half of the 2025 campaign.

Across a nine-game stretch from Weeks 9-17, he contributed 335 receiving yards, and impressively, the lion’s share of those yards came after the reception — 199 to be exact. All that extra yardage he managed to pick up at the end of plays underscores his mobility and just how hard he is to bring down.

Dulcich’s best showing in that nine-game sample came in an impressive, albeit meaningless, win for the Dolphins over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers late in the season. In a close 20-17 contest, he recorded a season-high 58 receiving yards on five receptions. Dulcich recorded his first and only receiving touchdown of the campaign in that game as well — his critical score helped put Miami up 10 just before the halftime break.

All signs seem to point to Dulcich enjoying a career year with the Dolphins in 2026, and here’s hoping he validates Eric-Sullivan’s anticipation with some great football come this fall.

It’s still unclear when exactly next season will commence for Miami, though. The dates and times for the Dolphins’ 17-game slate haven’t been set in stone just yet, but they will be revealed before long and later this spring.
