Jon Gruden has been a longtime football coach and has become a popular analyst since moving to that area of the game. However, he has been itching to get more involved in the game he loves so much.
On Monday, he was able to make that happen.
In a post on X, the Nashville Kats of Arena Football 1 announced that Gruden has joined the team as an ownership partner.
"We are excited to welcome Coach Gruden to the Kats and Arena Football One family!" the post read. "He brings valuable know-how and insight that will help build the Kats for the future on and off the field! Welcome Coach Gruden!"

Along with the announcement from the team, Gruden made a statement about his new career move as well.
“I have been a fan of indoor football for a long time and jumped at the opportunity to be involved with Jeff and the Nashville Kats as part of the ownership group,” Gruden said. “I have so much respect for what Jeff has done over his career and continues to do with the Nashville Kats and as commissioner of AF1. I’m excited to be part of the team.”
Throughout his NFL head coaching career, Gruden had some very high ups and some very low downs. He compiled a career record of 117-112 and won a Super Bowl back in the 2002 NFL season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Now, he will take his football expertise to the AF1 league as part of the ownership group of the Kats and embark on a new adventure in the game.
