Jordan Davis shared his new workout (and it should worry other NFL teams)

Week two of OTAs got underway for the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday as the media got a chance to check out the workout as well as speak to players and coaches.

There were many standouts from the practice, as well as moments that captured the attention of fans. Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio had some notable moments during his press conference, including announcing that rookie linebacker Jihaad Campbell would be out until mid-August and sharing the details behind Bryce Huff's departure.

Another player of discussion for Fangio was defensive tackle Jordan Davis and how he's progress. Davis even shared with the media what special workout he's been doing outside of football.

Davis' workout might make him one of the best defensive linemen in the NFL

During his talk with the media at the podium on Tuesday, Fangio shared that Davis was in the best shape of his career. Fangio wouldn't answer the question on why it took him so long to get into shape.

Later in the day, Davis shared with the media the secret to him getting into shape. He shared that he "fell in love with Peloton" and went as far as to say that Ally Love is his favorite instructor. Davis said he wanted to "look sexy" and thought his face was getting bigger. His word for the year was "discipline."

Davis is entering his fourth season in the NFL after being selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He has racked up 90 tackles, six quarterback hits, six tackles for loss, four pass deflections, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 47 career games.

His tag team partner on the defensive line, Jalen Carter, is one of the best interior defensive linemen in the NFL, and both are under the age of 26. Last season was seen more as a regression for Davis and more of a progression for Carter. Davis and Carter were both ranked in the top 28 interior linemen in the NFL, according to PFF.

Davis played in all 17 regular season games and had a nice postseason with six tackles and two sacks in four games. He's become more of the run stopper while Carter is more about rushing the passer.

It's good news to hear that Davis is getting into great shape, especially since the Eagles picked up his fifth-year option on his rookie contract last month. This could be the start of something scary being built in Philadelphia, with two athletic defensive tackles making life miserable for offenses.
