Jordan Love has career day to lead Packers past Chargers
Mark Hoffman / USA TODAY NETWORK

Jordan Love threw a go-ahead touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs with 2:33 remaining, and the host Green Bay Packers held on for a 23-20 win over the visiting Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon.

Love completed 27 of 40 passes for a career-high 322 yards and two touchdowns for Green Bay (4-6). Christian Watson caught Love's other touchdown pass and Jayden Reed rushed for a score.

Justin Herbert completed 21 of 36 passes for 260 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Los Angeles (4-6). Keenan Allen finished with 10 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Green Bay lost running backs Aaron Jones and Emanuel Wilson to injuries during the game. Jones left with a knee injury and Wilson exited with a shoulder injury.

Los Angeles also lost an important starter when pass rusher Joey Bosa hobbled off the field without putting weight on his right leg. He covered his head in a towel as he was carted toward the locker room, and soon after he was ruled out for the rest of the game with a right foot injury.

The Chargers went up 13-10 early in the second half on a 26-yard field goal by Cameron Dicker.

Green Bay regained a 16-13 lead in the final seconds of the third quarter. Watson hauled in Love's pass in the back-left corner of the end zone for an 11-yard score. Anders Carlson missed the PAT try.

The lead changed again with 5:24 left in the fourth quarter. Herbert connected with Allen for a 10-yard touchdown to put Los Angeles back on top 20-16.

Doubs capped the scoring with his go-ahead grab in the end zone. He got a step behind the Chargers' secondary and Love lobbed a 24-yard touchdown pass into his arms.

The score was tied 10-10 at the half.

Reed scored Green Bay's first-half touchdown on a 32-yard scamper. He took a handoff on an end-around and raced down the right sideline to make it 7-3 on the first play of the second quarter.

Stone Smartt responded for the Chargers. The tight end caught a pass around the Green Bay 30-yard line and made a defender miss on his way to the end zone for a 51-yard score.

It was the first career touchdown reception for Smartt, an undrafted free agent from 2022 out of Old Dominion.

Carlson made a 28-yard field goal in the final seconds of the half to tie the game.
