Toyotathon is well underway — the annual stretch from mid-November to January that seems to bring out Jordan Love’s best football. At the end of the calendar year, the Packers’ quarterback has consistently been elevating his play.
During his time as a starter, Love has dominated this period. According to Pro Football Focus, he owns a 91.9 passing grade (first in the NFL), has thrown for 4,005 yards, and recorded 33 touchdowns. He also leads the league in deep completions during this span and has only one interception.

The idea began when fans noticed that Jordan Love often plays his best football during Toyotathon. Many wondered if the theory held any truth, especially as they paid closer attention to his strong performances during the annual sales event.
Love addressed the speculation about his play. “I just think it’s something that’s cool. Obviously, the fans kind of took it and ran with it, and made it a thing. It’s definitely interesting. If you look at the stats and things like that—for everybody on our offense—I think we start to get in a better groove. We start to get in that rhythm of making plays.”
Love is clearly aware of the trend. He even has a partnership with Toyotathon, which includes the “Loveathon” collaboration and additional pieces of promotional content.
This year, the partnership, along with Panini America, produced 250 special Toyotathon trading cards featuring a piece of Love’s sweater worn during a campaign. The back of each card has his stats from the past two seasons, during Toyotathon.

Before the Packers’ Week 12 matchup against the Vikings, Love made sure everyone knew Toyotathon had arrived. “It’s time. It’s Toyotathon time for sure,” he said in an interview.
In Love’s most recent matchup (during Toyotathon), he threw for 234 yards and four touchdowns in a gutsy Thanksgiving win over the Detroit Lions. He also earned the John Madden Thanksgiving MVP trophy and collected his second FedEx Air and Ground NFL Player of the Week award this season.

This season during Toyotathon, Love has four touchdowns and zero interceptions. Although this comes from only two games, he has completed 62.7% of his passes and posted a 104.7 passer rating. That rating sits above the league average and falls in the “very good to elite” range.
As the Packers enter a crucial stretch with the NFC North lead within reach, they’ll lean heavily on Jordan Love to keep his poise and elite Toyotathon form alive. Green Bay hosts the Bears, then travels to Denver before heading to Chicago for their fourth NFC North Divisional matchup in just five weeks.
These are must-win games, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Currently at 3-0 in the division, the Packers control their path. With Love playing at an elite level and momentum building, Green Bay has every reason to believe this run can push them toward the top of the NFC North and set the stage for a thrilling finish.
