Josh Allen addresses if Super Bowl window is closing for Bills

Quarterback Josh Allen sounds disinterested in hearing any takes about the Buffalo Bills' Super Bowl window potentially closing as soon as this coming January.

"One thing I do know is it's hard to win in this league, it's hard to win consistently in this league," Allen explained during an appearance on SiriusXM's Mad Dog Sports Radio, as shared by Kevin Patra of the NFL's website. "But the type of men that we have in this facility, in this locker room, it's a special group. So I don't really hear all that outside noise. I know the type of guys that we have, the energy and the juice that we can bring and how special this team can be."

Allen's tenure with the Bills began during the 2018 NFL Draft, and Buffalo has completed four straight trips to the playoffs. However, the Bills have yet to make it to a Super Bowl with Allen in the lineup, and they failed to advance past the divisional round of the postseason tournament in each of the past two tries.

Following Buffalo's playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals this past January, the division-rival New York Jets landed star quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers. A strong Miami Dolphins team now has a healthy Tua Tagovailoa back under center, and the New England Patriots will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 8-9 campaign with help from new offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien.

As for Allen, he's concentrating more on Buffalo's tasks at hand than the other AFC East clubs.

"It takes every game day of going out there and putting your best foot forward, taking it one game at a time," Allen added during his comments. "Nothing we did last year carries over to this year. You play the games for a reason. Any given Sunday, any team can win, but we're just looking to put our best foot forward one game at a time."

Assuming Allen and wide receiver Stefon Diggs truly are on the same page coming off an interesting offseason involving the two, Buffalo should again play meaningful football beyond Week 18 in January. As of Thursday afternoon, OddsChecker listed the Bills as the betting favorites at +125 odds to claim the division crown. The Jets were second at that time at +270 odds, followed by the Dolphins at +300.
