Josh Allen gives glowing endorsement of Bills rookie receiver Keon Coleman

Despite getting rid of their top receiver this offseason, the Buffalo Bills picked up a solid weapon in the second round. And it's one that quarterback Josh Allen approves of.

Speaking on NFL Network's The Insiders on Thursday, Allen was asked about what he sees in Coleman.

"I think his play style (is) what we needed in our offense," Allen said "Talking with our offensive coordinator (Joe Brady), our quarterbacks coach (Ronald Curry), (general manager) Brandon Beane and, obviously, coach (Sean) McDermott, a guy that's a big-bodied guy and can go win one a back-shoulder fade and not afraid to be a physical wide receiver.

"I think you pair him with some of the guys we have in our room right now, I think Mack Hollins has been such a great addition so far to that room with his mentality, his mindset is infectious to others. Curtis Samuel, he's been showing up every single day ready to work. … You start pairing those guys up with Dawson (Knox) and Coleman in this mix now, we're gonna have a pretty solid group that works together."

Coleman began his college career at Michigan State, finishing with 65 receptions for 48 yards and eight touchdowns. He then transferred to Florida State, concluding his final season with a career-high 11 touchdowns in 2023.

Coleman quickly became a fan-favorite in Buffalo, providing Bills Mafia with a memorable introductory press conference. He proved he was ready for the cold Buffalo weather, talking very highly of his new yellow coat he purchased at Macy's.

From there, things just got better and better.

Most recently, a young fan sent Coleman some beaded friendship bracelets with the Bills colors to celebrate him joining the team. And the receiver loved the gift so much that he decided to wear them in his rookie photos.

Along with drafted Coleman, the Bills also brought in veteran receivers Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Chase Claypool.

Josh Allen isn't the only one

There are other members on the Bills who have been impressed with Coleman's abilities. And one of them is Damar Hamlin.

Following Tuesday's OTAs, Coleman was speaking with reporters, but was ultimately interrupted by Hamlin. And the safety shared some very kind words.

"He's been working," Hamlin said has Coleman wrapped his arm around him. "You can't even tell he's a rookie."

If what his teammates are saying is any indication of what's to come, Coleman could be the Bills next star.
