The Buffalo Bills will do battle in the AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.
With this being Josh Allen's first trip back to the AFC title game since 2020, a contest in which he also faced the Chiefs, but lost 38-24 as the Bills were down 38-15 in the fourth quarter.
Four years later, the Bills and Allen have improved to the point where many are giving them a serious shot at dethroning the Chiefs.
For Allen, he has reflected on that AFC Championship loss and is ready to rectify what happened that day.
“You always remember the feeling of not pulling through, that sticks with you for a while, and it really really doesn't leave,” Allen said. “But I think every year that you go through in this league you learn more things about yourself, about your team, about the game of football, we're just grateful and humbled to have another opportunity at it. It's another week that we get to play because really there's only four teams playing right now, so we look at that and we just love the opportunity that we have.”
The 2024 version of the Bills under offensive coordinator Joe Brady has been efficient, with Allen reeling in his turnovers and not playing Superman.
Instead, he takes what the defense gives him and distributes the ball to the host of weapons at his disposal while playing a clean game,
Allen is 0-3 against Mahomes in the playoffs but has won the last four regular-season meetings, so there is a chance for the Bills to finally end the Chiefs' season.
But can they do it?
