The Buffalo Bills will have history against them when they roll into Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs for the right to go to the Super Bowl.
With the Bills making it back to the AFC Championship game for the first time since 2020, which coincidently, the Chiefs beat them, Josh Allen and Co will also have to snap what is now a three-game losing streak to Kansas City in the playoffs.
While the Bills have won the last four regular-season meetings, when the games "really" count, it has been the Chiefs who emerge victorious.
But how can the Bills buck the trend and advance to their first Super Bowl under the guidance of Allen?
“I think have a good week of practice making sure that what we're putting into the game plan guys are understanding it and going out there and practicing hard,” Allen said. “Then when we get on the field on Sunday just trusting in the game plan trusting in each other and have fun playing the game.”
This season, the Bills feel like a different beast than they did in previous years. Allen isn't turning the ball over anywhere near as much, the offense appears to be operating as efficiently as it has in recent memory, and the defense, while it struggles at times, has a knack for making plays (three turnovers against the Baltimore Ravens).
Buffalo will need everything to roll its way on Sunday as the Arrowhead crowd will be doing its best to throw Sean McDermott's team off their game.
The Bills haven't beaten the Chiefs in the playoffs. Will this finally be the time that Allen gets one over his rival?
