Josh Allen's Bills Predicted To Draft 'Juice' In Latest Mock Update

The Buffalo Bills come into the offseason after having one of the best offenses in football last season under Joe Brady.

The unit averaged 30.9 points per game, and Josh Allen was named NFL MVP as the leader of the offense. But for some, the reason why the Bills fell again to the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason was due to a lack of weapons for Allen.

Now, averaging 30.9 points per game and making it to the AFC title game is good, so we aren't sure how much credence there is in suggesting that, but the Bills added Josh Palmer from the Los Angeles Chargers in free agency to bring more speed to Brady's unit.

But some still think another weapon is needed, and for Priyanshu Choudhary of Pro Football and Sports Network, the franchise addresses the receiver "issue" in round two with Iowa State's Jayden Higgins coming to the AFC East champs.

"Buffalo signed Joshua Palmer this offseason, but the receiving corps still needs more juice," Choudhary writes. "Jayden Higgins has reliable hands, sharp route running, and can win at all three levels. During the playoffs, it became clear the Bills lacked enough top-tier weapons for Allen. Higgins is coming off a strong 2024 campaign with 1,183 yards and nine touchdowns—and looks like someone who can help fix that fast."

With Higgins, Allen's weapons would consist of Palmer, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, along with Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox.

Is that enough?

It might be seen as a luxury pick by the Bills, but the offense does seem in a good spot without Higgins. However, his elite ball skills and ability to get open on all three levels and be physical at the point of attack might make him a favorite of Allen's.

Yes, there are other needs, and in the first round, it does feel like Buffalo will go defense, but in the second round, Higgins might not be a bad choice, as you can never have enough weapons for an MVP-level quarterback.
