Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen will enter his ninth year with the same goal in mind: Make it to the Super Bowl. He has never advanced to the ultimate round, and that has probably become increasingly frustrating to him every season.

Last year, the Bills lost to the Denver Broncos in overtime in the divisional round of the playoffs, with Allen committing four turnovers.

Despite falling short, the 30-year-old Allen is widely considered the best signal-caller in the NFL. ESPN placed him at No. 1 in its annual ranking, with a general manager describing him as a “singularly unstoppable player at the position.”

A trivia shared on X also highlighted his dominance.

Allen, who was drafted by the Bills at No. 7 in 2018, has tallied 299 touchdowns. Last season, he logged a career-high 69.3% completion rate.

Except for his rookie year, Allen has not missed the playoffs, leading the Bills to two appearances in the AFC Championship Game.

With Buffalo coach Joe Brady, the team’s former offensive coordinator, now calling the shots, the four-time Pro Bowler could become even more prolific, as their partnership has been quite successful. They understand each other very well, almost like kindred spirits. In Brady’s first stint in Buffalo in 2024, he helped Allen become the MVP.

After relinquishing the award to Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in 2025, he is the favorite to win it again in the upcoming season, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
