Josh Jacobs has been dealing with multiple injuries heading into the Green Bay Packers’ rivalry matchup against the Chicago Bears on Saturday. The All-Pro running back was unable to practice throughout the week due to knee and ankle injuries, casting serious doubt on his status in Saturday’s crucial matchup.

Jacobs has missed just one game this season, which was in Week 12 against the Minnesota Vikings. The three-time Pro Bowler has continued to play through injuries, and he’s been pivotal to Green Bay’s success this season.

In 13 appearances for the Packers in 2025, Jacobs has registered 218 carries for 890 yards and 13 rushing touchdowns. He’s also logged 33 catches for 270 receiving yards and one TD.

The Packers have a big game on Saturday. They face their fiercest rivals with the division title on the line. Green Bay enters the contest with a 9-4-1 record and second in the NFC North. They are behind the 10-4 Bears, who are on the verge of securing the division championship.

The good news for the Packers is that, despite being on crutches on Monday and missing all three of Green Bay’s practice sessions during the week, Jacobs is expected to play on Saturday.

Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network broke the news on X a couple of hours before kickoff.

“Packers RB Josh Jacobs will be active tonight against the Bears, per sources,” Pelissero posted on X.

This is a significant development for the Packers, with Jacobs’ availability providing a big boost for their Jordan Love-led offense. It remains unclear, however, if Jacobs will be limited in any way amid his injuries.

It’s the Bears who will host Saturday’s primetime matchup, with kickoff from Soldier Field scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET.
