The Green Bay Packers are undefeated no more after suffering an upset 13-10 loss to Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland on Sunday. Josh Jacobs and Green Bay’s attack had a difficult time getting into a groove versus the Browns, whose stout defense held the Packers to only 230 total yards.

Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love threw for just 183 passing yards and a touchdown with an interception, while Jacobs rushed for just 30 yards on 16 carries. Jacobs also failed to record a rushing touchdown for the first time in his last 12 games, dating back to the 2024 NFL campaign.

“We knew they had a No. 1 defense in the NFL right now and one of the best defensive lines in the NFL,” Jacobs said after the Browns game (via Wes Hodkiewicz of Green Bay’s official website). “We had some guys get banged up in the game. We had the next-man-up mentality but it’s always going to be a little rough when you got guys going against guys like that on maybe limited snaps. We try to do what we could with what we had. They just had a good game plan for us.”

Josh Jacobs sees big things for Green Bay in Week 4 after first 2025 season defeat

The Packers’ loss is an eye-opener for Jacobs and the Packers. Green Bay had people believing that the Packers are Super Bowl-bound, but the team’s struggles in Week 3 put things into perspective.

Nevertheless, Jacobs thinks that their next opponent, the Dallas Cowboys, will be in for a rough game, as the Packers look to rebound strongly from the loss to Cleveland.

“I think we’re going to come out hungry,” Jacobs shared. “I really feel bad for whoever see this team next. I can tell this bothered a lot of the guys in this room. I know we’re gonna come out hungry this next week.”

On the season, Jacobs has 180 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 58 carries.
