Josh Jacobs’ promise to young Packers fan goes viral after Week 7 against Cardinals

Josh Jacobs played a pivotal role in the Green Bay Packers’ 27-23 win against the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale on Sunday.

Although the former Alabama Crimson Tide star posted the second-fewest rushing yards and the fewest carries he has had in a game so far in the 2025 NFL regular season, he showed the way for Green Bay with two scores on the ground in the second half. All told, Jacobs had 55 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.

Jacobs’ first touchdown happened with a little under nine minutes remaining in the third quarter to tie the score at 13-13 following the extra-point kick by Lucas Havrisik. After finding the end zone, Jacobs tossed the ball into the crowd. He clearly did not notice a young Packers fan who went up close to him to ask for the ball.

The three-time Pro Bowl running back only knew about the young fan after the game.

“To the little kid on that TD I didn’t see you hit me I got something for you

,” wrote Jacobs in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

Jacobs’ post garnered a ton of reaction from fans online, many admiring his classy move.

Jacobs, who has rushed for two touchdowns in three straight games, has 414 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 111 carries in the 2025 campaign.
