The Atlanta Falcons are 0-2 on the season after a disastrous Week 2 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. To make matters worse, they may be without their star wide receiver this week against the Chicago Bears.
Julio Jones re-injured his hamstring in Sunday's 40-39 loss to the Cowboys and according to ESPN's Vaughn McClure, his status for Sunday's game against the Bears is uncertain.
The 31-year-old admitted after the game that his injured hamstring affected his ability to run and factored in on a dropped pass from Russell Gage that could have been a game-changing play. Jones ended the game with just two catches for 24 yards.
According to Falcons head coach Dan Quinn, Jones has been dealing with the hamstring injury for a while. McClure adds that Jones appeared to tweak his hamstring back in August.
The Falcons have been quite banged up lately. Kaleb McGary, Ricardo Allen, Kendall Sheffield, Foye Oluokun, Dante Fowler Jr., Takk McKinley, Marlon Davidson and Charles Harris all are dealing with injuries.
