The Ohio State connection is already paying off for the New York Jets.
Quarterback Justin Fields and his No. 1 wide receiver, Garrett Wilson, connect on a deep ball for the team’s first touchdown of the year against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Yankee doodle dandee. The Jets used this concept often this summer. But it all started pre-snap, as Fields CHECKED at the LOS after shifting his TEs from wide to condensed, feeling good about the coverage (single-high Cover 3 or man with Yankee). pic.twitter.com/scwHe0fXaw

On first and 10 near midfield, Fields connected with Wilson for a 33-yard touchdown, which gave the Jets a 10-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The connection between Fields and Wilson offers Jets fans a glimpse of what could become a dangerous connection this season that can potentially reset the trajectory of New York’s offense.
