The Los Angeles Chargers made the biggest bombshell coaching hire of the 2024 offseason. They went and paid up for former Michigan wolverines HC Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh returns to the NFL, where he has seen success before.
Chargers star quarterback Justin Herbert is a big fan of the move, evidently. You'd hope that your top QB is "all in" on your new coach, and Herbert sounds like he is so far.
“He just wants to win, and that’s a guy you want to play for.” ️

Herbert says that he's fired up for the addition of Harbaugh. The Chargers QB acknowledges all of his success at multiple levels. Harbaugh has build successful programs/orgs between college and the pros. He competes and has always been respected as a determined football mind.
The proven HC spent the last nine seasons at Michigan. The Wolverines were 86-25 in that span.
He found plenty of success as the head coach with the San Francisco 49ers during the 2010s. He played for the Chargers in 1999 and 2000, too.
Harbaugh will play a big role in the offense in which Herbert leads. Alongside new OC Greg Roman, there are multiple experienced voices to head that side of the ball for Los Angeles.
No matter what - there is a clear sense of excitement and confidence following the hire of Harbaugh by the Chargers.
