Coming off a career year for the Atlanta Falcons last season, Kaden Elliss is poised to have another breakout season this year that possibly includes a Pro Bowl.
During the 2024 season, Elliss had a career year, recording 151 tackles (85 solo, 66 assisted), five sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble. His interception was the first of his career, coming against the Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels in Week 16.
With a revamped Falcons offense that aims to be more aggressive and athletic, it will be interesting to see how Falcons offensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich implements schemes and game plans to dial up quarterback pressure for several defensive names.
PFF defines pass rush win percentage as the percentage of "wins" vs blocking on non-penalty Pass Rush Snaps. Elliss had a 26.5% win percentage last season; no other player who played at least 150 snaps on defense recorded above a 17%.
Elliss is a rare talent who can get to the quarterback seemingly on every play. With the additions of Jalon Walker, who is also a hybrid linebacker, and Divine Deablo who is a genetic/athletic freak, Atlanta should finish in the top half of the league when it comes to sacks. Last year, Atlanta finished 31st in sacks.
Ulbrich will look to get Jalon Walker and the team's other first-round pick, James Pearce Jr., on the field at the same time to see if they can be a disrupting powerhouse in the NFL. At season's end, if healthy, Kaden Elliss should find himself a Pro Bowl selection on a much-improved defense.
