Kansas City Chiefs Announce Initial 2023 53-Man Roster
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The time to cut the roster down to 53 players has arrived. Every team was forced to make challenging decisions over the last few days. Overall, the Kansas City Chiefs were not always going to be able to keep everyone that had strong training camps or preseason showings. Certain position groups will prove to be deeper than some anticipated, in the end.

With the team officially announcing their initial 2023 53-man roster, it is time to see which names made the cut. Not all of these will be surprising. But at the same time, recent momentum allowed for some late pushes for players that were not going to be denied at making the roster in Kansas City. Without further ado, here is a look at the 53 names for the Chiefs roster, going position by position.

It is important to note, Chris Jones has been placed on the reserve/did not report list, due to his holdout. He does not count against the 53-man roster, as a result.
