Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs couldn't get it done in Week 13, falling to 6-6 on the 2025 NFL season after a 31-28 loss to Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. Now, the Chiefs will have an important December ahead of them, starting with the Houston Texans in Week 14's edition of "Sunday Night Football."

At this time last season, Kansas City was sitting comfortably atop the AFC with an 11-1 record through Week 13. But even with their success, the Chiefs still embraced the holiday spirit, releasing a Christmas claymation short titled “A Kingdom Christmas Story: Hail Merry,” which featured several players from the team.

But this year, Kansas City took it a step further, unveiling its latest Christmas special, “Merry Mischief,” in partnership with the popular Elf on the Shelf brand. Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, serves as the narrator of the new claymation short, with the main character playfully named “Kelce on the Shelfie.” The short will be released on Christmas Eve, ahead of Chiefs vs. Broncos the next day.

"The Kansas City Chiefs teamed up with the Elf on the Shelf to create a Kingdom Christmas claymation short film called Merry Mischief, narrated by Donna Kelce!" the Chiefs wrote. "During the holidays, Kelce on the Shelfie finds himself home alone at GEHA Field at Arrowhead. Can he bring the team home to KC in time for the Christmas game? Find out on Christmas Eve when the film premieres."

The Chiefs shared a trailer for “Merry Mischief” on Tuesday, featuring claymation versions of Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and others.

"Twas the month before Christmas, almost the Thanksgiving game," Donna Kelce narrated. "When the Chiefs found an elf, one that needed a name. 'The Elf on the Shelf,' said Coach Reid with a smirk. How about Kelce on the Shelfie, yeah that'll work..."

The Chiefs will face the Texans on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET.
