Kansas City Chiefs' new wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is already proving he's hungry for a ring

The Kansas City Chiefs just got exactly what they needed. They have another wide receiver to pair with Patrick Mahomes, and it's not some practice squad guy that no one has ever heard of.

By now, you probably already know what I'm talking about, but, if you're just now waking up, and you weren't around during 6 A.M., the Chiefs traded for DeAndre Hopkins from the Tennessee Titans.

This was a move that we all thought would eventually happen a few years ago but in free agency. Instead, he ended up signing with the Titans a good deal for him, more than what the Chiefs were willing to give him. Now, he's a Chief though, and it's coming at the perfect time, really.

The Chiefs are the only undefeated team left, and yet, they have had a huge issue. They had a big need at wide receiver with all of the injuries they had happened to Rashee Rice, Hollywood Brown, and others. So, this is clutch.

And, this is coming before they play the last team to beat them. The Chiefs haven't lost a game since the Las Vegas Raiders beat them on Christmas Day last year. Now, the Raiders are a bad team this year at 2-5, but, it's a divisional game, and anything can happen.

For Hopkins, he is showing that he already wants this ring and a three-peat. There is no reason why he should play on Sunday against the Raiders, but, it sounds like that will happen.

According to James Palmer, Hopkins will get going with the Chiefs, learning the playbook, and building chemistry right away so that he can play on Sunday. That doesn't mean he will play, but, that means they have an intention of him to play. And, who knows, that could very well happen. Or, we could see him play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week.

This is one of the most complex offenses we have ever seen. This offense is known for guys who get traded to the team, to not play that week because there is so much to learn. But, Hopkins seems like one of the smartest wide receivers in the league.

This is going to be so much fun.
