Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes Reveals His Favorite Career Play So Far
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs and superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes have built one of the best dynasties that the NFL has ever seen. Over the years, they have won championship, made shocking plays, and overcome overwhelming odds at times.

With that in mind, some may wonder what Mahomes’ favorite play of his NFL career has been to this point.

Thankfully, Mahomes was happy to answer that question. He revealed that his favorite play of his career so far was back in 2018, on a fourth-down situation against the Baltimore Ravens.

“Yeah, I always say the 4th and 7 versus the [Baltimore] Ravens in my first year starting in 2018. I was scrambling over to the right and threw it back to the middle of the field. I barely saw Tyreek [Hill], and then he comes back to the ball and makes that catch.”

For those who don’t remember the play, here is a video of the one that Mahomes is talking about:

What’s Next For Patrick Mahomes And The Kansas City Chiefs?

After the amazing career that he has already put together, what is next for Mahomes and the Chiefs? Honestly, it’s all about winning more championships.

Looking ahead to the 2024 NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs are once again expected to win a Super Bowl. Many view them as the favorite in large part due to the offseason that they put together.

Being able to retain Chris Jones and all the other players they re-signed was not expected. Jones was expected to walk in free agency, which would have left a massive void on the defensive side of the ball.

Offensively, the Kansas City Chiefs knew that they needed to bring in more consistent weapons for Patrick Mahomes. They went out and signed Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, which provides the offense with the kind of speed and big-play potential that Tyreek Hill used to have. Xavier Worthy was also drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft and he has top-level speed and playmaking ability as well.

Both of those guys are going to take a lot of pressure off of Travis Kelce. Mahomes was arguably the biggest winner coming out of the NFL offseason.

All of that being said, it will be interesting to see what the Kansas City Chiefs are able to do this season. Can they pull off the impressive feat of a three-peat? We’ll just have to wait and see, but as long as Mahomes is under center, anything is possible for Kansas City.
