The Kansas City Chiefs are continuing the annual tradition of releasing their Red Friday flag ahead of the regular season.

This year's flag will feature coach Andy Reid's signature "How 'bout those Chiefs" catchphrase, which he says after every victory.

Here is the official press release from the Chiefs with details on how to purchase this year's Red Friday flag:

"For the 12th consecutive year, one of the team's most beloved traditions returns and the club will sell a limited-edition commemorative flag. All proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. A special limited-quantity, online-only presale will go live on shop.chiefs.com. The presale will run from 8/7 at 10 a.m. CT through 8/11 at 11:59 p.m. CT unless sold out earlier."

This was a clever way to honor coach Reid while also creating a unique flag. Reid has won more games than any other coach in Chiefs history, owning a 143-53 record during his 12-year tenure in Kansas City. His 18 postseason victories are by far and away the most in franchise history, as are his three Super Bowl wins.

On a grander scale, Reid ranks fourth in all of NFL history with 273 career wins. He trails Bill Belichick for third by 29. If Reid maintains the yearly win average he has established in K.C. (12), he will pass Belichick during the 2028 season, should he continue to coach that long. That will then put him 16 behind George Halas for second, and 26 behind Don Shula for first.
