Kansas State has struck recruiting gold again, this time securing Lawson McGraw, son of former Wildcat standout Jon McGraw , as its sixth commitment in just four days.
The Blue Valley West (KS) athlete adds a legacy storyline and positional versatility to a class surging with momentum.

Lawson McGraw hails from the Kansas City area and brings strong bloodlines: his father, Jon, was a safety at K-State from 1998 to 2001 before embarking on a 10-year NFL career with the Jets, Lions, and Chiefs. Lawson earned his offer by attending two summer camps and impressing during recent official visits.
On the field, McGraw is the definition of an athlete. He lined up at linebacker, tight end, and defensive end in high school. He logged 45 tackles, 12 QB pressures, 7 TFLs, one sack, three interceptions, three forced fumbles, two blocked kicks, and also recorded 162 receiving yards with three touchdowns.
McGraw becomes the sixth commit in the last four days, joining three-star defensive lineman Kingston Hall, three-star defensive back Garrick Dixon, three-star athlete Hannibal Carter Navies, three-star safety Nick McClellan, running back HD Davis, and now, Lawson McGraw.
Expected to be listed as an athlete on Kansas State’s roster, his positional flexibility gives the staff options, particularly at linebacker or hybrid roles.
Kansas State is on a roll, and its sixth commit, Lawson McGraw, channels both legacy and versatility. He’s exactly the kind of athlete who can add depth, culture, and flexibility to a Wildcats roster full of purpose and precision.
